Celler Clos Galena – Clos Galena – DOQ Priorat

It stands out for its aromatic breadth, clean and elegant, dominated by spices, especially black spices, which blend with ripe fruit. Minerality is also combined with balsamic notes. On the palate, it is a very complex, intense, voluminous and long wine.

Varieties: Black Grenache (40%), Carignan (20%), Syrah (20%), Cabernet Sauvignon (20%)

Ageing: 12 months in new first-year French oak barrels. 24 months resting in bottle at the winery.

Pairings: Rice dishes and pasta, poultry, white meats, red meats, game, cold cuts, meat stews, eggs, pâtés, foie, oily fish, cured cheeses, vegetables.

Celler Clos Galena

The Clos Galena winery, discreet and quiet, is part of Domini de la Cartoixa, our estate and source of inspiration. The name Galena comes from the Priorat subsoil, poor in nutrients, rich in minerals and low in nitrogen. Eleven hectares of vineyards in the municipality of El Molar (Catalonia), on land that once belonged to the Carthusian monks of Scaladei.
