Figuero – Figuero 15, 2015 – DO Ribera del Duero

100% tempranillo

Vintage 2015: Excellent.

Production: Tempranillo goblet vineyards with more than 60 years of age, located in La Horra, producing 1kg per vine. Manual harvest in chestnut baskets. Aged for 15 months in new French (85%) and American (15%) oak barrels. Bottled and aged 21 months before leaving the cellar.

View: intense and very deep cherry red color, clean and bright with dense tears.

Aromas: very intense and complex nose dominated by ripe black fruit (blackberries and blueberries), spicy notes (cinnamon, nutmeg, licorice and black pepper) along with notes of roast and toffee. Long and persistent.

Taste: very dense and powerful with a great tannic structure and excellent acidity that makes it lively, very long and with much finesse.

Pairing: roast lamb, roast red meats, beef and foie.
