Tempranillo, Viura
On the nose, aromas of black fruit with spicy notes. On the palate it is easy-going, broad, with fine tannin and a balsamic aftertaste.
La Bicicleta Voladora Crianza is a red wine aged for 12 months in used 225-litre French oak barrels. Tempranillo and Viura from the Los Riscos and La Hoya plots (San Adrián), at 335-359 metres above sea level, with 21 to 52-year-old vines grown in traditional bush vine and trellis, hand-harvested with selection in the vineyard.
Alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts and a 4-day pre-fermentation maceration, at a controlled temperature of 21°C. Malolactic fermentation in concrete tanks. Deep, stony calcareous clay soils.
Lively Wines – Germán R. Blanco
The new project from Germán R. Blanco in Rioja, built from the ground up with humility and patience, with its first vintage in 2015. Same philosophy as in Quinta Milú, Casa Aurora and San Esteban: organic viticulture and minimal intervention in the cellar.
Indigenous yeasts are used, grapes are destalked without crushing and fermented at low temperature. The varieties used are Tempranillo and Viura.
