This story could not begin in a more authentic place than the Cantarranas area, in the municipality of La Seca (Valladolid), with its soil of siliceous sands and pebbles over a subsoil of clay and limestone.

At 718 metres altitude, this vineyard endures long winters and hot, dry summers, which makes its vines search for water resources deep in the soil, achieving the authentic expression of the grape thanks to organic farming.

Beatriz Herranz returned to La Seca (Valladolid), to the family vineyards, to devote herself body and soul to Verdejo. Barco del Corneta is the result of her personal and professional experience, with an artisanal production that aims to rescue the essence of Verdejo, respecting the identity of the variety, the soil and the climate.
